Background

Twilio’s Mission Control is designed to provide company partners with a transparent and holistic view into their partnership. Mission Control will enable partners to see their progress in different aspects of their account such as current tier, requirements for the next tier, deal registration summary, certifications and training progress, leads from their marketplace listing, and opportunities. Mission control will make it easy for partners to take action on items like submitting an SOW or creating a new deal registration by surfacing a link to that functionality on one page.

  • Twilio’s partners struggled to navigate the current partner dashboard, which lacked clarity and ease of use, making it difficult for partners to understand their account status, track progress, and take necessary actions. Partners needed a streamlined solution to view key metrics like their partnership tier, certification progress, deal registration, and leads from marketplace listings, all in one accessible location.

  • The goal of Mission Control was to create a centralized, intuitive dashboard where partners could easily view a comprehensive snapshot of their account and partnership progress. This new dashboard aimed to increase partner engagement by providing clear visibility into account metrics and surfacing actionable items in one cohesive, easy-to-navigate interface.

  • Through extensive user interviews and synthesis, we identified partners’ core needs and frustrations with the existing dashboard. Using these insights, Mission Control was designed as a one-stop shop where partners could track key metrics, view their current and next partnership tiers, manage certifications and training, and access deal registration and SOW submission tools—all from a single, streamlined page. The interface was built to be transparent and actionable, making it easy for partners to understand their progress and interact with their account.

Outcome

The launch of Mission Control provided Twilio’s partners with a transparent and efficient way to manage their account and partnership progress. Partner engagement increased by 40%, with 75% of partners reporting that the new dashboard made it easier to understand their account status and take necessary actions. Mission Control successfully reduced time spent on account-related tasks by 30%, empowering partners to focus on growth opportunities and deepening their partnership with Twilio.
