The client was seeking to leverage their existing customer base in the food service industry to test the app.

In the realm of water management for the food service industry, business owners and service providers face a critical challenge with the current reactive approach to water system monitoring. Within Pentair's Commercial Connected Water (CCW) business unit, there is a recognized need for a more reliable and proactive water management system. The existing model lacks predictive capabilities, hindering businesses from efficiently addressing water-related issues.
-
The goal is to revolutionize water quality and system monitoring in the food service industry through Pentair's proactive water management solution with Commercial Connected Water (CCW). This involves streamlining operations by providing restaurant owners with a centralized platform for real-time monitoring, transitioning to a proactive service model to reduce downtime and costs, and ensuring consistent water quality for improved customer satisfaction.

Pentair's Commercial Connected Water (CCW) aims to revolutionize the food service industry's water management model. They propose a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Progressive Web Application (PWA) that integrates with Pentair's smart filtration systems. This solution offers real-time at-a-glance monitoring, predictive issue resolution, and streamlined multi-location oversight.
Outcome
The launch of Pentair’s new Commercial Water PWA provided business owners and service providers with a powerful tool for managing and monitoring water quality across multiple locations. Through strategic design and development, the app offered real-time water data, predictive maintenance alerts, and at-a-glance monitoring features tailored to the needs of the food service industry. Early testing with Pentair’s existing customer base showed strong engagement, with 85% of users reporting improved efficiency in managing water systems and a 30% reduction in unplanned maintenance events, validating the app’s potential for expansion into additional verticals.
